SALUTE TO SERVICE PROGRAM
BANNER APPLICATION
The City of Dardenne Prairie’s Salute to Service Program honors and pays tribute to individuals who presently serve or have served in the United States Armed Forces. Honorees will be recognized on 2 ft. x 3 ft. banners displayed on light poles along a walking path within Dardenne Prairie City Hall Park. Banner locations are limited and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis when complete.

Examples of proof of residency include a copy of your driver's license, utility bill, or annual tax bill.

4.  Honoree Photograph

A high-resolution photograph of the honoree in uniform must be submitted electronically in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) format.  Photograph must be 4 in. x 6 in. or larger. Minimum resolution is 300 DPI for a 4 in. x 6 in. photograph. Photograph must clearly show the honoree in uniform. The honoree must be the only person shown in the photograph. The City may crop the photograph to better display the honoree’s face and shoulders. Image quality must be sufficient for production of a 2 ft. x 3 ft. banner.

I certify that I am authorized to submit the photograph and information included with this application and authorize the City of Dardenne Prairie to use the submitted photograph, honoree’s name, military branch, service information, and other approved information for the Salute to Service Program. I authorize the City to reproduce, crop, resize, format, and otherwise make reasonable modifications to the submitted photograph as necessary for banner production and program administration. I understand that banners are displayed in a public location and may appear in photographs, videos, City publications, the City website, social media, news coverage, and other materials relating to the program or City activities.

5.  Optional Honoree Information

Provide a brief statement regarding the honoree’s service, accomplishments, or connection to Dardenne Prairie. This information may be used by the City in connection with the program, subject to available space and City approval

6.  Banner Fee and Registration

Initial Banner Fee: $150 Applicants will be contacted to process payment after the application has been approved. Please do not submit payment unless instructed by the City. Banners are displayed on an annual basis. At the end of the initial display period, applicants may renew the existing banner for an additional year for $50. If not renewed, the banner will be removed and made available for pickup in accordance with City procedures.

Spring Registration – Mid-March through Mid-April; banner display anticipated by Memorial Day.  Fall Registration – Mid-September through Mid-October; banner display anticipated by Veterans Day.

Applications received outside an established registration period may be held until the next registration period. Annual Renewal. Spring registrants receive renewal notification on the first Monday of May. Fall registrants receive renewal notification on the first Monday of October. If the banner is not renewed, it will be removed and made available for pickup

7.  Applicant Certification

By signing below, I certify that the information provided is complete and accurate; I have authority to submit the honoree’s information and photograph; submission does not guarantee acceptance or placement; incomplete applications may affect acceptance or queue priority; the banner will be produced from the information submitted; I am responsible for reviewing all information for accuracy; banner locations are limited and assigned first-come, first-served; the City determines placement; outdoor banners are subject to normal weathering; and the City may temporarily remove or relocate a banner for maintenance, safety, construction, special events, or other municipal purposes.
